Rosie
She ain’t exactly pretty, ain’t exactly small… Rosie took 2 years, from initial discussions until final delivery, to come to life.
Rosie started out as an Arocs 2045 (20 ton, 450hp) 4×4 rigid “Grounder” frame chassis from Mercedes. Married to the chassis is a 5.95 metre living module built and installed by Krug Expedition, located in Austria.
We took delivery of the completed overland vehicle in January 2024.

Rosita
While we were waiting for the delivery of Rosie we spent 6 months in the United States and then 3 months in Canada touring in Rosie’s little (very little) sister, Rosita. Details about our converted cargo trailer can be found HERE.
The Crew
A retired, but not quite dead yet, couple decided to sell everything and run away to join the circus. Turns out they were not spry enough for the circus, but could climb into the cab of the Arocs 4×4. Also, there were slightly fewer death defying stunts required in the expedition vehicle lifestyle.
The balance of the crew consists of a 7 year old Newfoundland (Landseer) called Lump, and a 3 year old Leonburger named SweetPea.
Blog Post Caveat:
The posts in this blog are mainly for our own use, to remind us where we have been because as we get older we forget faster! A few family members and friends have been sent the blog link along with a warning not to expect literary or photographic excellence.
