Rivers Provincial Park, Manitoba

After our excitement in Riding Mountain National Park and repairs in Brandon, we needed a place nearby to spend a nite or two. On the drive from Riding Mountain to Brandon we saw a sign for Rivers Provincial Park, so we booked in for a couple of nights. The park is only about a 1/2 hr drive from Brandon, so if Rosita’s wheel falls off, we can get back to the repair place.

We get to the park, a wheels where the should be, and find our spot.

Seems like a nice small provincial park. The leaves are starting to come out and it feels like we are camping back in Ontario in the spring.

Our campsite is located beneath some trees that are shedding leaf bud scales which are very sticky and get onto everything, including the dogs.

A hard overnite rain, soaks everything and the following morning we have wet dogs covered in sticky scales and mud.
